"Maggie at House of Brides and Tuxedo is hands down the best around. She has 25 years of dress making experience, so I felt comfortable with hiring her to do my wedding dress alterations. She went above and beyond expectations and she is truly a skillful seamstress. After going to several shops in the area, I knew almost immediately that Maggie and House of Brides and Tuxedo was the place for me. Her shop is charming and she has wedding dresses, bridesmaids dresses, mother of the bride/groom dresses, tuxedos/suits, plus accessories available in store to try on, sample and purchase. She took my wedding dress in several sizes at the bust, waist and hips, fixing the waist stay, she added lace details onto my over skirt and created sleeves with more lace detail for my wedding dress. I had purchased my dress at a different bridal shop many months before meeting or ever knowing about Maggieâ€™s shop, then I lost weight. The alterations options the other shop gave me werenâ€™t to my standards or expectations and were grossly overpriced. So I found Maggie and she quoted me much more fairly. She always handled my items with care with much attention to detail and was very quick! After Maggie was done my dress was perfect! It fit like a glove and looked seamless, as if it never needed altering in the first place. She even handled some last minute dress alterations for my mom. She made sure we were all happy. I added a picture from the day I got the dress and a video from the wedding day. I 10/10 recommend House of Brides and Tuxedo.
